Business Forum in Nookat Strengthens Cooperation for Inclusive Entrepreneurship

On 10 February 2026, the Nookat district of Osh region hosted the district business forum “Uluttuk Dem – Dүinoluk Biyiktik,” which served as a practical platform for open dialogue between government authorities, businesses, and civil society.

A business forum in Nookat district brought together 52 participants, including 28 women entrepreneurs, representatives of banks, local authorities, civil society organizations, youth, and vulnerable groups.

A key outcome of the event was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Nookat District Entrepreneurs Association, Aiyl Bank, and Eldik Bank to support business initiatives, youth and inclusive entrepreneurship, and access to financing.

Deputy Akim of the Nookat District State Administration, Nuraiym Atakanova, highlighted the importance of the forum: “The district’s economic development is impossible without supporting entrepreneurship, investment, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups”.

Participants also presented examples of social and creative entrepreneurship, including handicrafts, tailoring, confectionery production, tourism, and cultural initiatives demonstrating the district’s local business potential.

Chairperson of the Nookat District Entrepreneurs Association, Sairagul Israilova, emphasized: “The memorandum with the banks is a real opportunity for entrepreneurs, especially women and youth, to access financing and grow their businesses”.

The forum was held within the framework of the EGED Programme, supported by the UK Government through FCDO.
