On 4 November 2025, the Coordination Council of Nookat District held a meeting at the District State Administration (DSA) to review progress in implementing the district’s Socio-Economic Development Programme (SEDP). The session, attended by Council members and Head of the Economic Development Department Kubanychbek Orozmamat uulu, focused on analyzing the results achieved during January–September 2025.

During the first nine months of the year, Nookat District attracted 3,028,074,800 KGS in investments, including 1,168,769,400 KGS allocated for capital construction. The largest investment project was the construction of the Osh–Batken–Razzakov international highway, totaling 1,240,500,000 KGS.
A total of 1,466 jobs were created under the SEDP, including:
- 456 permanent,
- 161 seasonal,
- 849 temporary.
The majority of new jobs were generated in construction (463), wholesale and retail trade (467), and manufacturing (172).

Tourism remains a priority area within the SEDP. The DSA prepared a presentation for international donors aimed at developing modern recreational facilities in the Karakoy Park.
During the discussion, participants proposed several initiatives, including:
- reconsidering the status of land plots near recreational zones or encouraging private owners to improve infrastructure;
- establishing sectoral committees under the Coordination Council to monitor SEDP implementation;
- opting for traditional eco-houses instead of European-style cottages in Karakoy;
- building an ethnographic museum to preserve cultural heritage;
- organizing experience-sharing visits with other regions;
- creating workshops and small enterprises to support employment for young women and girls;
- promoting municipal–private enterprises in rural municipalities;
- initiating the development of an industrial zone;
- opening fruit and vegetable processing enterprises, including grant-funded projects supported by the People’s Republic of China.
Council members also proposed producing and distributing informational brochures on SEDP progress and achievements to ensure greater transparency and public awareness.
