Kadamjay Investment Forum Promotes Green Economy and New Partnerships

On 13 March 2026, the city of Kadamjay in Batken region hosted the investment forum “Kadamjay – Territory of Investment and Sustainable Development,” bringing together 121 participants, including representatives of government and local authorities, businesses, financial institutions, donor organizations, entrepreneurs, and youth.

The forum was organized by the Kadamjay District State Administration and the District Coordination Council with technical support from the EGED Programme implemented by the Development Policy Institute and funded by the UK Government.

The event aimed to promote the district’s investment potential, present promising projects, and strengthen cooperation between government, business, and investors.

Head of the Kadamjay District State Administration, Bayake uulu Bolotkan, noted:

“Such events bring together government representatives, businesses, and investors on one platform to discuss promising projects and identify new opportunities for the district’s economic development”.

The forum featured investment projects in the green economy sector, including the construction of a solar power plant and a small hydropower plant on the Ak-Suu River, as well as initiatives in agricultural processing and eco-tourism.

A local producers’ exhibition also showcased businesses involved in fruit processing, natural cosmetics, mineral water production, and handicrafts, highlighting the district’s potential for small business development and value-added agricultural production.

A key outcome of the forum was the signing of memorandums of cooperation between the district administration and investment companies. The agreements are expected to support investment attraction, job creation, and sustainable economic development in Kadamjay district.
