On 24–25 February 2025, a training course on “Approaches and Methods for Organising and Conducting Monitoring and Evaluation” will be held in Bishkek. The event is organised within the framework of the Effective Governance for Economic Development (EGED) programme, funded by the UK Government (FCDO), and implemented in partnership with the Development Policy Institute (DPI).
“During the training, monitoring plans would be developed in key areas: population, services and local infrastructure, economic development, spatial planning and the environment. These plans will cover six main activities planned for 2025. Participants would gain knowledge about the need to monitor the implementation of work within the framework of the Socio-Economic Development Programmes (SEDP) of the districts and learn how to make effective proposals for their sustainable development,” said Zhyldyz Kerimova, consultant of the DPI.
The training was attended by members of the coordinating councils of the pilot districts of the EGED programme selected in 2024: Aitmatov (Talas), Bazar-Korgon (Jalal-Abad), Jety-Oguz (Issyk-Kul), Kadamjai (Batken) and Kemin (Chui). The participants include employees of district state administrations, representatives of local communities and the business sector.
