Social Entrepreneurship Development in Tajikistan

Today, marked a commence of a Social Entrepreneurship conference, bringing together diverse stakeholders from Tajikistan, including representatives from Parliament, government officials, diplomatic missions, development partners, civil society organizations, the private sector and social entrepreneurs.

The aim was to explore strategies for fostering the growth of social entrepreneurship in the country and raise awareness about the emerging and important issue of social entrepreneurship development.

A central focus of the discussions revolved around the formulation of favorable legal and fiscal environment for social entrepreneurship development.

Additionally, participants exchanged ideas on how government policies can improve the quality of life and reduce poverty through promoting social entrepreneurship in the country.

Social entrepreneurship emerged as a potent instrument for generating employment opportunities, particularly for vulnerable groups of people facing significant challenges.

Furthermore, conference participants engaged in dialogue on exploring how to financially sustain and promote social entrepreneurship initiatives, thus creating a sustainable ecosystem for the development of social entrepreneurship.

The event is part of the Social Entrepreneurship Week, which is taking place from 24- 27April.
