Participants discussed how to make tax legislation simpler, clearer, and more accessible, thereby contributing to a more transparent and accountable tax reform process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1154\" src=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/09112022_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/09112022_1.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/09112022_1-768x433.jpg 768w, https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/09112022_1-1536x866.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tax reform is one of ACTED\u2019s economic policy priorities under the Effective Governance for Economic Development (EGED) Programme, implemented in cooperation with the World Bank and supported by the UK Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACTED\u2019s overall objective in supporting tax reform is to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations to promote more transparent and accountable implementation of tax reforms.
