Government and the UK-funded Effective Governance for Economic Development (EGED)<\/em> Programme to exchange insights on ways to generate migration data, estimate labour market impacts, and adapt statistics to user needs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" data-id=\"2920\" src=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/26092025_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" labour market impacts, and adapting statistical systems to meet user needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plenary sessions explored:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>International definitions of migration and their application in national contexts<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Data sources including surveys, travel data, and wellbeing indicators<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Impact on labour market statistics and GDP<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Adapting to user needs and communicating revisions, including strategies to counter misinformation<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to thematic discussions, the event provided an opportunity for bilateral sessions between UK and Central Asian statistics offices, paving the way for future partnerships and technical collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange, this initiative strengthened the foundations for evidence-based policymaking and enhances the capacity of national statistical systems to deliver accurate, timely, and user-focused data across Central
