The event focused on enhancing female economic empowerment and shared insights from a recent survey of 201 firms and 243 citizens on awareness and compliance with gender equality provisions in Uzbekistan\u2019s new Labour Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" data-id=\"2869\" src=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2869\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025_3.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025_3-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" data-id=\"2867\" src=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2867\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025_2.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025_2-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" data-id=\"2865\" src=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2865\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/eged-ca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/27062025-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key findings revealed both progress and challenges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>70% of firms are aware of the new Labour Code provisions, but only 31% of citizens share that awareness.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Over 90% of respondents noted improvements in fair hiring practices, yet only 16% believe women have equal chances for leadership roles.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Fewer than 40% of firms have formal guidelines on gender equality and protection from sexual harassment.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>While many firms know about incentives for hiring persons with disabilities, implementation remains limited.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The roundtable featured opening remarks from government and development partners, presentations on socio-economic trends, and a panel discussion with policymakers, private sector leaders, and gender equality advocates.
