To strengthen this foundation, the EGED programme hosted a two-day workshop on 7-8 May, \u201cPR, Media, and Data: How to Be Heard in the Age of Transparency,\u201d bringing together government press officers and media professionals to sharpen their skills in impactful communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop combined theory with practice, offering participants hands-on experience in modern communication techniques. Day one focused on transparency and accountability as priorities for press services, criteria for strong content, and practical skills for interviews and press conferences. Participants learned how to leverage open data portals and create compelling infographics. The workshop ended with group projects, where teams presented press releases, visuals, and stories based on real-world scenarios, followed by a discussion on improving collaboration between government agencies and media for better public awareness of reforms.
